Elitec Privacy Policy: Privacy, In Plain English
What we collect, what we don't, and what you can ask us to do about it.
This Privacy Policy explains how Elitec LLC ("Elitec," "we," "us") handles information when you visit elitechq.com. Questions: hello@elitechq.com.
1. The short version
- This site collects almost nothing about you.
- We do not run servers that store visitor content, and we never sell data.
- We do not run third-party advertising trackers.
- If you email us or submit a form, we keep your message so we can reply.
- Our site is not directed at children under 13.
2. Information we handle
- Forms you submit. If you give us your email or a message through a form, we keep it so we can write you back, and for nothing else.
- Standard server logs. Our host, Squarespace, records basic request information such as IP address, browser type, and timestamp for security and performance, and retains it for a limited period.
- Cookies and analytics. Squarespace sets a small number of strictly necessary cookies so the site works, and gives us aggregate, non-identifying analytics about traffic. We do not run third-party advertising trackers.
3. Our applications
We build software. Our released application, DIO, has its own privacy policy covering that product's specific data practices: elitechq.com/dio/privacy. For DIO itself, that policy is the one that governs. When we release another application, we will publish its specific data practices before it is available to you. As a general principle, our apps are designed so that the data you create stays on your device, and any purchases are handled by the platform's app store rather than by us.
4. Third parties we use
- Squarespace hosts this website and processes form submissions, under Squarespace's own terms and privacy policy.
- No third-party advertising trackers. No data brokers. No data sold, ever.
5. Your choices
- Ask for a copy of what we have about you.
- Ask us to correct or delete it.
- Opt out of future emails by replying "unsubscribe" to any message we send.
- Residents of California, the EU, the UK, and other regions with specific rights: those rights apply. Email us and we will honor them.
6. Children
Our website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
7. Security
We use reasonable, industry-standard measures to protect the limited information we hold. No system is perfectly secure.
8. Changes
If we update this policy, we will change the "last updated" date below.
